Reliance Jio might announce that increase the validity of its ‘Free Welcome Offer’ till March 31, 2017 on December 28. Initially, the company had first opened its 4G network to all of its employees ahead of commercial rollout on last year, December 28.
Jio has been come to the world on December 28, which is Reliance founder Dhirubhai Ambani’s birthday. Then, the company started the ‘Free Welcome Offer’ to consumers onn September 5. According to report from Business Insider, the free service will be officially to be end on March 31,2017 and we expect the announcement will come on December 28.
Reliance had its Jio service as a 4G network only and the company has been started the service by giving ‘Preview Offer’ that brings unlimited data, calls and sms for three months from when you are activated the sim but on 5th of September, Ambani officially launchs, the jio and offers unlimited data and voice calling till December 31,2016 which is named as ‘Free Welcome offer’. The free service also gives access to Reliance Jio’s suit of apps which allow users to watch live TV and video-on-demand contents. Reliance Jio claims to have added 16 million subscribers in just 26 days.
Previously, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) found that Reliance Jio’s Free Welcome Offer is valid till December 3 only and the telecom authority has asked Reliance Jio to not offer its services to new customers beyond that period. Reliance Jio had announced plans to make the service paid after December 31 but maybe the service has hit roadblocks and the company plans to test the network further.
Don’t know how Reliance will convince TRAI over 90 day of free service and effectively postpone the end date to March 31. possibly few new announcements will be come on December 28, that’s for sure.
