Six Huawei Devices Will Get Android Nougat

Android 7.0 Nougat update on Huawei devices

Earlier Samsing, Sony and HTC has been announced to get Android 7.0 Nougat. Now, Huawei has also announced that planned for rollout of the latest Android 7.0 Nougat software. The update will arrive with the company’s EMUI 5.0 on top. It could be released in the first quarter of coming year.

Huawei claims that the Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus, Huawei P9 Lite, Huawei Nova, and Huawei Nova Plus will receive the Nougat update in the first quarter of 2017. There is no word mention about exact date announcement for the rollout. These all Smartphones are launched in a year ago and not mention whether old Huawei phones rollout the Nougat update.

Huawei also mentioned that the Mate 8 and P9 will gets the update first, followed by the rest eventually. The Huawei Mate 9 launched last month which comes with EMUI 5.0 based Android Nougat.

The company also announced that the new EMUI 5.0 based Android Nougat brings a stability in interface design and security.

According to a report, Huawei mentions that with EMUI 5.0 ‘the user can activate 90 percent of the main functions in only two or three clicks’. Nevertheless, machine learning understands which apps are used more often and are resource optimised automatically. It also brings power management to improve battery efficiency. EMUI 5.0 also has ‘App Lock’ that allows users to lock specific apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, or any other apps with a unique password for added security.
