Step by Step Procedure To Set Up The WordPress Yoast SEO Plugin – A Best SEO Plugin:

Step 1: Installation
To install the Yoast SEO plugin, login to your site, from your site Dashboard Go to Plugins -> click on Add New -> Search for “ WordPress SEO by Yoast.” -> Install and Activate it.
Step 2: General Settings and Data Transfer
In General tab, you can get the idea about the use of this Plugin by clicking on “Start Tour” button.
The very first that you need to do after Installing the Plugin, Go to Dashboard > Features > Advances setting pages & enable the feature.

Step 3: Verify your Blog with Various Webmaster Tools
Submit your blog to different Webmaster tools by adding meta values, such as Google Search Console, Bing, Alexa verification ID and Yandex Webmaster Tools. By default, WordPress is having two important Taxonomies called Categories and tags. Here, you can mark the options of ‘noindex’, ‘follow’ and ‘hide’ to avoid duplicating issues.
WordPress packs with various types of Archives like Author Archives, Date Archives, and Special pages. However, all the Archives are necessary for the blog. It will depends on what kind blog you are using. For example, if you are using Author bio blog means then you can pick only Author Archives.
Commonly, you can enable or disable the date and author archive. As far as my suggestion, you can check the “noindex” and “follow” boxes, and leave everything else as it is.
This is the last tab under the “Titles & Metas” settings. In this part, you can select to use meta keyword tag (As per Google there is no benefit of using it). I suggest that you can ignore this part and kept it as it is because default settings are good enough.

This will helps to show your social media profiles like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google Plus or G+, Myspace, YouTube, Pinterest and Linkedin. XML Sitemap is one most important setting. This feature helps to index your all posts URLs on popular search engine. By default, WordPress’s Yoast SEO created a Sitemap for your blog or website.
You will check your sitemap by clicking on ‘XML Sitemap‘ button and submit the same to Google, Bing, Yahoo, Alta Vista, DuckDuckGo and many other search engines.
Step 7: Advanced Settings – Yoast SEO
